CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - 18 Days!

Today I've decided to take part in the Christmas TAG. I'm definitely a lover of tag posts as they are a way of getting to know someone slightly better. I found this tag and fell in love with the questions immediately as they seemed more personalised than some of the other tags I've seen.

What is your favourite Christmas film?
My favourite Christmas film is definitely Home Alone 1, I love the whole idea of the film and think it's one of those films you can just sit down and enjoy as a family.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Sadly I don't think I've ever had a white Christmas as it barely ever snows where I live.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I either spend Christmas at my dads or at my mums, however this year I will be spending most of Christmas day at work

What is your favourite Christmas song?
My all time favourite Christmas song is either Fairytale of New York (The Pogues) Holly Jolly Christmas (Micheal Bublé)

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
If I spend Christmas Day at my dads we will often celebrate Christmas with my mum on Christmas Eve so we open presents and enjoy a roast dinner as if it was Christmas day which when I was younger used to be amazing as it meant we got to celebrate Christmas twice

Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Donner, Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Vixon, Rudolph... no.. (I missed out Comet, Cupid & Blitzen)

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
Opening presents on Christmas morning in our pyjamas as a family

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
fake but I'd love to have a real one someday

What is your favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
not sure if this counts as a Christmas food but probably the small Chocolates you can get in boxes of Roses or Celebrations

Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I would probably have to say giving gifts because although receiving gifts is great seeing other people's faces once they've received gifts is an amazing feeling

What is the best Christmas gift you've ever recieved?
This is probably the hardest question of the tag so far.. I've recieved so many amazing gifts over the years that I don't think I could possibly choose one

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I have always wanted to spend New Years Eve in either London or New York

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
The answer to this depends 100% on the shape of the present I'm wrapping.. If it's a simple shape such as a box or a bottle of something I like to think I can wrap that fairly well (others may disagree) however any other shape and I fail miserably!

Most memorable holiday moment?
When I was alot younger we used to go on train rides known as the 'Santa Express' where we'd spend around half an hour on a train around the area close to where we live and at some point during the journey we'd visit Santa in his grotto and receive a gift. As far as I know the event still goes on however me and my sister got too old :(

What made you believe the truth about Santa?
I honestly can't remember how old I was when I found out the truth about Santa however, I do remember that I was at my dad's one Christmas and as 'Santa' came to fill our stockings I was still awake (oops.. excitement for Christmas i guess..) and I noticed that not only was it still fairly early (I thought Santa came at Midnight!) that Santa also sounded very familiar (I know why now!..) There's a bit more about exactly how I found out the truth  (thanks Dad! :D) but I think that's probably enough for now

Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I have memories of being at school coming back from Christmas break and at the beginning of a new term having to write New Years resolutions for the upcoming year and I can honestly say that I never stuck to a single one of them! And I still don't if I'm honest! So this year I've decided not to make any New Years Resolutions as not only do I not stick to them.. Alot of the time I can never remember what they were!

What makes the holidays special for you?
Being able to spend so much time with family and friends. I am very lucky to have amazing people in my life and being able to spend time with them is very important to me.
